Honey Orange Grilled Salmon & Asparagus

Ingredients

2 salmon filets, thawed

1 bunch asparagus

1 tbsp. honey

Juice of 1 orange

1 tsp. paprika

½ tsp. cayenne pepper

½ tsp. garlic powder

Coconut oil spray

½ tsp. salt

Directions

Step 1

Heat the grill to 400 F.

Step 2

Chop the ends off the asparagus then spray with coconut oil spray and add salt. Place on the grill to cook 15 minutes.

Step 3

In a small bowl, combine the honey and juice of 1 orange.

Step 4

In another separate bowl, combine the paprika, cayenne pepper and garlic powder.

Step 5

Divide the rub in half. Using your hands, rub the seasonings into each salmon filet pressing it in good.

Step 6

Brush half the honey-orange mixture over each salmon filet, reserving the other half for after grilling.

Step 7

Place the salmon on the grill. Cook 7 minutes each side (this may be slightly less or longer depending on the thickness of your salmon) then flip and cook another 7 minutes.

Step 8

Remove the salmon and asparagus from the grill. Brush the remaining honey-orange mixture over the salmon and serve!
