Ingredients
4 portions Sizzlefish scallops, thawed
3 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tsp cornstarch
2 tbsp avocado oil or high heat oil
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tbsp honey
3 tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos
2 tbsp sliced green onion for serving
Directions
Step 1
Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat, about 1 minute.

Step 2
Add honey and soy sauce. Stir well and heat for 1 minute longer. Turn heat off and cover to keep warm.

Step 3
Pat scallops dry with paper towel to remove excess moisture. Add sesame seeds to a plate and sprinkle with cornstarch. Stir to combine. Coat scallops in sesame seeds on both sides.

Step 4
Heat avocado oil over medium heat in a large skillet until very hot, about 2 minutes. Sear scallops for 2 minutes on each side or until cooked through.

Step 5
Transfer cooked scallops to a serving plate and top with warm sauce. Garnish with sliced green onions.
