This classic Low Country Boil recipe has everything we love in it. Juicy shrimp, sweet baby new potatoes, fresh crisp corn and spicy sausage boiled in a rich flavorful broth.

If you are looking for an easy family meal that’s fun to gather around, then you should definitely make this recipe. The ingredient list is simple, but don’t let that fool you. The flavors in this one pot meal are far from simple. The boiling liquid is seasoned with fresh lemon, crushed garlic, fresh onion and Old Bay Seasoning. Clearly this is not just a boring boiled recipe when you begin with flavors like this.

Low Country Boil

Ok, here are the details…

You start off making this flavorful broth that then leads into cooking everything in simple stages. The potatoes go in first to cook for a bit since they take the longest. Next, the spicy sausage and corn get added to the pot for a few minutes before adding in those juicy succulent shrimp. Oh and we haven’t mentioned yet, but we made life easier for you because our Colossal Sized Wild Caught Blue Shrimp come to you peeled, deveined and frozen at the peak of freshness for your convenience. Pretty sweet deal, right? Now, after everything is done cooking, you drain off the broth, making sure to reserve about a cup for serving. Then, you can either serve this fun meal on a serving platter or you can lay down some newspaper on the table and dump everything out there. We said this was a fun casual meal and it most definitely is when you can just toss it out on a table surrounded by your favorite people. Also, last, but not least, you want to serve this feast with some cocktail sauce, fresh lemon wedges, melted butter and a little drizzle of that saved broth. Bon Appétit, friends!
